Wonderful. The best cooked, best sourced Jumbo Cod I ever had. The restaurant is spaceous and well designed with spectacular views of Scarborough Bay. Just walk up East borough from the promenade, #55 is on the left about 3/4 the way up. The fish, the service and the view more than reward your climb.

This is probably the best fish and chips I have had. We ate in and the batter was crispy and the fish white and moist. The chips were cooked to perfection. The waitress was attentive and accommodating. The chef even came to our table to ask if everything was good. Perfection!

This was an excellent no nonsense fish and chips restaurant. The food was amazing, and there were no complaints at the table at all (I had the cod fish loin - in the picture). They also had the choice of cod or haddock and there was large haddock and a small haddock which suited my family just fine. The service was lovely, there was a young blonde lass and a lady with purple hair, both very helpful and not afraid to join in with a laugh with us. If we’re in Scarborough again we will definitely come back! The place itself looked very new and modern and clean (the photo shows the table with no chairs but they were closing up as we were leaving). The view of the seaside was also a lovely addition :) very pleased with our experience I’m surprised it wasn’t as busy - definitely come here if you want your money well spent.

We were recommended to visit Catch 55 as we needed a dog-friendly fish & chips restaurant. It was definitely that! Bowl of water and a sausage for the dog while we peruse the menu. Plenty of room and even a sea view. Lovely staff, including Sal our waitress and both chefs who came over to fuss our dog! We'll definitely come again

Really enjoyed this place for tea yesterday. Our order was taken perfectly, and arrived promptly. Everything correct. Offered us sauces and anything else we needed. Perfect service even when it got busier. Food was delicious. The staff are all so lovely as well. Very inclusive and diverse set of staff, make you feel very welcome! Would definitely eat here again! Hopefully next time the fog goes away so we see the beautiful views.

Outstanding restaurant beautifully designed with fabulous views across Scarborough bay this has to rank alongside the best chip shops in town the care and attention to detail lavished on the food are up there with the very best in the industry with quality ingredients and careful preparation it will go from strength to strength … top marks for the fish platter which is outstanding value my only criticism is the prices are a bit low ! We were lucky enough to be shown around the kitchen and preparation are the staff were so helpful … thank you !

This is the cleanest fish and chip shop I have ever been in. More importantly the* plaice* was very very nice. The staff are really friendly as well.... Catch 55 I highly recommend. They also have an ajoining restaurant with sea views... Always busy, a sign how good it is their... Top plaice to go... Try it, you won't be disappointed ❤️
